About Us
The OUCS has been a bit quiet recently because all our efforts have been concentrated on the Science Revision Weekend and our day-jobs. However, we are determined to correct this. If you are a member we need you to join us at the AGM in January 2010 to tell us the direction to take. More details here.

The Open University Chemistry Society formed in 1994 out of the Chemistry Revision Weekend, which itself started in 1991. You can find more information
here. Now renamed the Science Revision Weekend to reflect the new and varied courses offered, read more about how the SRW started in the article
here.

The Society Committee consists of:
Paul Everett,
Chair and Treasurer, and
Website upkeep.
Paul is Senior Development Chemist at
Premiere Products in Cheltenham, where he designs new household and personal care products.
He completed his Open University degree in 2001 with a BSC (Hons) in Natural Science with Chemistry.
He was inspired by his school chemistry teacher, Mr Fell, who had a poster at the back of his lab saying "What in the world isn't Chemistry".
